Shutdown phrases

Sometimes the best thing to do is to shutdown a conversation right then and there, without going into a debate over something, for whatever reason.

Most of the time the other person will respect that, happily or otherwise.

When they don’t, you need a shutdown phrase. The idea here is to trick your opposite numbers brain into thinking you said yes or agreed with them, without really doing that.
